Mother's House going Europe

…and looking for an English to German translator for the subtitle. Just let me know and I’ll connect you with Ingrid Price.

But before the short will enter LiFF (Lucerne International Film Festival) between October 19 – 23, you’ll have the chance to catch Kathryn’s movie at the second airing of Woodstock Film Festival tonight. Remember 10 pm during the Lost Found section at Kleinert James Art Center.

The Louisville International Festival of Film also published their schedule calendar. Mother’s House will be shown at Willow Room – Galt House October 8th, 5:30 pm. Look here for ticket information.

If you didn’t catch a tweet, the facebook entry or visited the MH homepage, again the hint to Ulster Magazine. Look at page 13 and following and read a long article about film making in Ulster Country. The writer mentioned Tim Guinee and showed two pictures around the Mother’s House making.
Thomas and Catherine arrive at his late mother's rural home. They are unprepared for what they find. Thomas can hardly remember the last time he was there, and Catherine never even met the old lady. There's a lifetime of accumulated clutter to sort through, and the couple wastes no time starting to empty the house. But more than just "mother's things" await them in the dusty rooms.
The outside world recedes, and what started as a simple task now seems impossible, even dangerous. Possessed by memories and eerie dreams, Catherine and Thomas begin to feel trapped. Then they become aware of a third presence... a sweet-faced young boy, lingering silently in the half-empty rooms.
Catherine is anxious to leave, but Thomas is frozen; unable to discard his old toys, drawn irresistibly to his childhood bedroom. The couple is pulled apart, dismantling themselves as they dismantle the house. There is a terrible secret in mother's house, and they cannot help but discover it.

P.S. Translate to German: "While emptying his late mother's rural home, Thomas and his wife, Catherine, discover increasingly disturbing secrets until the conflict between memory and truth threatens to destroy them both." I passed my version to Ingrid and read another at facebook. Be a part of Kathryn's movie and help the producers to spread their wonderful movie.
